Andrew, Justine, & Parker :: Family Shoot

Parker was back in town visiting his dad, Andrew, and step-mom, Justine this weekend so we took that opportunity to get some family pictures of them together for the holidays.

Parker is probably one of the most imaginative and energetic children I've had the chance to be around. He's been on a dinosaur kick lately, so all the palm trees are "dinosaur trees". He kept looking for dinosaurs all around San Diego throughout the shoot :) It was a blast to spend some more time with him.

We started off with some of him alone - I love the variety of backgrounds I found!

2009 Marine Corps Birthday Ball

Yesterday marked the 234th Birthday Ball for the United States Marine Corps. For those of you who are not military, this event is a black-tie function to celebrate the formation and traditions of the Corps. My husband was deployed for the ball last year, so I was looking forward to celebrating this year with him.

Here's a few pictures from the night -

My husband Patrick is the 4th one all the way down!

I snuck up to get a closer photo of him. He stood without moving for over an hour and 15 minutes - pretty impressive, huh?

This is the table that is set up in honor of those Marines who have passed on. The table is set, but left untouched all night. The wine cup is also upside down to symbolize that they will not be drinking with us tonight.

Here's one of my husband and I that I had a friend take with my P&S.

Happy Birthday, Marines! Thank you to all those who have served, and are currently serving.

Jerry, Michelle, & Carter :: Family Shoot

Last weekend I headed down to Balboa Park to meet up with Michelle and Jerry, and their 9-month old son, Carter. Carter was absolutely adorable, and super easy going. He made the photoshoot much easier than I had figured it would go!

Here's a few of my favorites from their shoot...

Justin, Stacey, & Kammy :: Family Shoot

Sunday afternoon I met up with Stacey and her husband Justin, and their daughter Kammy down in La Jolla. Stacey had contacted me to do some family pictures to send back to their homes in the Midwest for Christmas, and to get some of just her and her husband as they hadn't had professional pictures taken since they were married.

They have a gorgeous family, which makes my job all that much easier :) Kammy was also a total doll. The family had never been down to La Jolla before, and I made a complete convert out of her between the beach, waves, and seals.

Without further ado, here are some of my favorites from yesterday...
